3 criteria for Baukultur
The Poeticwalls expert jury assesses the quality of Baukultur in three categories. The jury takes into account the eight criteria of the Davos Baukultur Alliance for a high level of Baukultur. Davos Baukultur Alliance for a high level of building culture.
01 Concept + Function
Does the building have an inner logic? Does the building fulfil its purpose? Are construction and design elements appropriate? Does the project realise the added value of architecture in terms of content and economy?
02 Good Neighbour
Has the site been developed sustainably? Does the building contribute to the wellbeing of the residents and neighbours? Does it – through its very beauty and integration – make people happier and the place better?
03 Poetic Factor
Is the building friendly and beautiful? Does it have a beautiful order? Does it bring people together with meaningful and sensual spaces? Does it make a positive contribution to urban transformation?
How we proceed
Our jury members decide discreetly, swiftly and undogmatically in three categories. They convey the urgency for a transformation to an innovative Baukultur from the professional world to citizens, residents, developers, investors and politicians.
