Poeticwalls launched in late November 2023. Founded by Michelle Nicol and Rudolf Schürmann, the company is emerging as a catalyst for exceptional architecture with innovative development projects and a growing brokerage portfolio.
Voluntary market restriction: outstanding architecture / Baukultur only
Poeticwalls is not alone in recognizing that the proportion of good architecture in our built environment is small: much of it is characterized by banality and dullness, designed without our needs in mind. Meanwhile, natural open spaces are shrinking under the pressure of urbanization. In response, Poeticwalls, as a private developer, creates buildings that fulfill aesthetic, cultural, emotional, environmental and social requirements in an effort to preserve a liveable environment.
Development plus brokerage
Poeticwalls is currently collaborating with renowned architects and artists, such as Valerio Olgiati, Christ & Gantenbein and Martin Boyce, on a series of development projects in both urban and rural settings. These partnerships exemplify the company's mission to create living and working spaces that meet both the rational and emotional needs of their occupants. In the brokerage business, iconic contemporary architectures such as house no. 1 by Fuhrimann Hächler Architekten with artist Ugo Rondinone as well as classics of post-war Modernism by Atelier 5 or Justus Dahinden have already found buyers via Poeticwalls.
We all benefit from good architecture: the added value of Baukultur is real.
The founders of Poeticwalls understand from experience that outstanding architecture provides a tangible added value throughout the life cycle of buildings. Achieving the added value of Baukultur is Poeticwalls' commitment to clients, investors, the construction industry, developers and the public. Exceptional developments that fulfill their goals both atmospherically and structurally are the result of active participation and mediation among all partners in the process. Poeticwalls develops, invests in and sell real estate, ensuring architectural quality with a jury and a council of international experts from different fields, reaffirming the importance of building as a cultural endeavor. Investors, buyers, and sellers are invited to join Poeticwalls in creating beautiful, sustainable spaces.
Good buildings are good neighbors. They are sculptures of our way of thinking and living – documents of our times, our culture, our shared consciousness.
